Do you skip intro movies whenever you enter an Alliance Battle?
please click the link below and vote or reply here. I'm trying to collect enough evidence/vote to persuade Anet to remove these irrelevant short introduction scenes so that we do not have to click the "Skip" button every time we play.

Your honest opinion please. Do you click skip every time you enter a map in AB? When you are answering these questions, please take into account that important guides and goals have already been stated in the mission goal box.
To Moderators: Please do not close this post. I need this post to link others from this part of the forum to another part. Thank you!!
My apologies!! The questions stated here were not as clear as the one I proposed in the link above. I was asking for an option to "skip cinematic automatically." With this option, there will not be any interferences between the newcomers and the "pro" since they have the choice to either skip or watch the scene. I am so sorry!!

yes I do
but it isn't a good idea to get rid of the begining movie.
People who are new to AB completly need these little intros to familiarize themselves with their goals and the map in general.

Why not something like the do in JQ or FtA? An NPC you can talk to in order to play that movie. I wouldn't even be opposed to letting them wander around a bit to get familiar, but of course that has been suggested 100's of times with JQ and it isn't happening.
As it stands, yes I skip them, but they don't bother me enough to feel strongly about their removal. I'll abstain from voting

No, they should not be deleted. Why? Because if you don't want to watch it, you can skip it and go on your way, and everyone else can decide for themselves whether to watch it or not.
If every cinematic was like that, it'd be wonderful. If every cinematic was like "x of y players have skipped," then it would be an issue worth tackling for PvP arenas, which is probably why it's already different.

Yes get ridd of it cause it realy sucks when your trying to wait for your new friends and they are not showing up yet to join ya, plus you lose party members that way!!
plus the people can figure it out on their own when they get in ab so get ridd of the stupid movie/cinematic pls!!
leave the cinematic stuff for PvE only

Yes, lets waste Anet's time removing the introductions because it requires AB players to click a button once every 10-20 minutes. Nevermind the fact that you would just be waiting for the match to start anyway and that it could potentially help some players. Not to mention that even if it did take up your time to watch it, the time you took to post this is 100x longer then the time it would take to press skip every match in the first place.
Great idea!

That is an excellent reason to remove a cinematic from the game.

There is no real reason to have the cinematic removed. In fact it should be mandatory because 3/4 of the people who join think its a 12v12 RA....

Agree w/ Molock. Seen too many players who don't grasp the concept of AB and capping shrines.
Pointless thread.

i would like it to play only on the very first time a player enters that particular map, and not play on subsequent games.
the reason is that because of the way these movies are set up, if a player does not press the enter button, he will lag his teammates until the movie finishes. often combined with a slow load, this could be that his entire team of 4 cannot do anything until he loads, which can be minutes into the game.

The optimal solution would be to have a NPC in the staging area who would provide the options to view the tutorial cinematic and walk around the map in interactive help mode (much like the ability to preview GvG maps, except with interactive help so that when you click on some feature like a shrine a helpful explanation is given).
Except for the fact that the people who would actually need it most would be least likely to use it. It's good enough as it is now.

Heh, don't think I've ever even sat through the whole thing since I've started AB'ing.
Same could probably be said for a few people and doubt most people waste their time with it.
